Domestic Violence Shelter Programs and Services

Women In Jeopardy Shelter Program 
Emergency and Extended Shelter facilities are available 24 hours a day in our 181 bed facility for women and children fleeing unsafe situations. Eligibility prioritizes women who have experienced intimate partner violence within the last 30 days. Services include:
• 24-hour crisis line 801-537-8600
• Personal Advocacy, Case Management and individualized safety planning
• Domestic Violence Support Groups and Life Skills Classes

Kathleen Robison Huntsman Apartments
Transitional Housing for women with dependent children in their care is available for up to 2 years through a partnership with the Salt Lake City Housing Authority. Eligibility prioritizes women who have experienced intimate partner violence within the last year, qualify under the federal definition of homeless, and are eligible for the services through the Housing Authority. Services include:
• 2 and 3 bedroom apartments where participants pay 30% of their income
• Personal Advocacy, Case Management and individualized safety planning
• Domestic Violence Support Groups and Life Skills Classes
• Economic Advocacy related to Job readiness and financial empowerment

Residential Self Sufficiency Program 
Transitional Housing for single women without dependent children in their care is available for up to 2 years. Eligibility prioritizes women who have experienced intimate partner violence within the last year, and can income qualify. Services include:
• Subsidized housing where participants pay $300 Room and Board Fee
• Personal Advocacy, Case Management and individualized safety planning
• Domestic Violence Support Groups and Life Skills Classes
• Economic Advocacy related to Job readiness and financial empowerment

Children’s Advocacy and Intervention Program
Specialized services for children who have experienced domestic violence are available to those in residence. Services include:
• Personalized Advocacy, Case Management for individualized safety planning for children
• Residential After School and Summer Camp Program for school age children
• Evening Programming for Teens
• Drop-In Short-term Child Care for ages 6 weeks – 5 years
